Large machine is often designed in sliding pallet change because of the weight of work piece, you can see it from Mazak FJV Series, DMG DMU 340C and other large horzontal CNC machines. Of course it takes time. Rotation pallet change is suit for small machine with light loading weight. It's much more faster than sliding method.
