INSTALLATIONS:
To install the products on this media, run the 'launch' program at
the top level, or change directory to the product directory and
run the setup program contained within that directory.
The 'docs' folder contains Installation documents and other related
documents, which may be viewed or printed with your browser.
Further information is contained in the README file located in
the "docs" folder.
NOTE: Viewing Documentation directly from the media Launcher will
require that the Adobe Acrobat plug-in is installed on your
system. No errors are given if the plug-in is not available.
The What's New Guide and the Release Notes are contained in the
REL_INFO kit in the nx040 folder. This will be installed by
default with the Typical installation option. If you use the Custom
installation option, it is recommended that you select the
'REL_INFO' kit.
Once installed, both documents can be viewed from the start menu:
A copy of the Release Letter is also provided in the "docs" folder.
This is viewable with your Web Browser.
Begin browsing with the following initial file:
docs\release_notes\index.htm

Files on this media are for use on the Windows 2000/XP platform only.
There are two installations folders contained on this media, win32 and win64.
On Windows 2000 or 32 bit Windows XP systems use the installation kit in
win32\ugdoc040. On the media launcher select: "Install on Windows 2000/XP".
On Windows XP x64 systems use the installation kit in win64\ugdoc040.
On the media launcher select: "Install on Windows XP x64".
The installation program for Unigraphics Online Documentation (UGDOC) is
contained in the "ugdocXXX" directory. Where XXX is the release number.
To install UGDOC, simply change directory to "ugdocXXX" then run
the setup.exe program.
NOTE: Documentation must be installed in the NX 4 %UGII_BASE_DIR% in
order to be accessible from within NX 4.0. It is recommended
to accept the install destination default.
After the installation, the "NX 4.0 Documentation" shortcut
will appear in the "UGS NX 4.0" folder on the "start" menu.
Note: The "docs" folder contains a "ugdoc.pdf" file with brief instructions
on installing UGDOC. This document is in Portable Document Format and may
be viewed or printed with your IE browser. The browser must have the
Adobe Acrobat plug-in installed. You may download the plug-in
from: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat
