I am a mold designer in Canada, My company use UG to do the parting surfac manually, Hope any kind-hearted UG user help me and answer the following questions
1. how to get the good parting line manully but QUICKLY or automaticly?
2.how to split the part into core and cavity? do you use the parting line to trim all the extracted surfaces?
If so, can you quickly select the parting line loop? It seems to be very difficult for me to choose the parting line pieces one by one
3. how to do the parting surface quickly or automaticly? by extrude the edge and parting line pieces and enlarge
one by one, the patch up the rest? if so, that is really stupid, almost any 3D software have the function called parting surfce
