Heads the Engineering Department, with responsibilities of the Tool Design and Project Engineering sections. Enforce and maintain the standards on quality control and operational methods
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Modify or improve on the tooling by working in conjunction with the toolroom and production department
· Co-ordinate and arrange for meetings concerning stamping quality
· Responsible for the effective and efficient control of all Quality document, policy and procedural manuals.
· Ensuring that all staff in the department is familiar and trained in the Company’s quality policy and its procedures.
· Conduct evaluation or testing on alternative materials; Decide on other alternatives when the material available is not according to specifications or there is a low level of stock for the material needed
· Co-ordinate prototype sample making· Create jog and fixture and transparency chart for Quality Control checking and production purpose · Co-ordinate and plan processes as well as implement process sheet
· Disseminate E.C.N to all internal departments
· Assist in the preparation of quotation and other documentation pertaining to the clients
· Liaise with other Hi-P facility of transferred project on the problems encountered in the process and other technicalities
· Set up and maintain a database for repair of tooling(s) which are transferred from the other facility· Ensuring the smooth operations of the Department, meeting set goals and objectives. · Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Superior
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with 10 years’ relevant experience · Or NTC 2 in Metal Engineering / Tool & Die / Precision Machining with at least 12 years’ relevant experience
· Computer literate especially in Autocad and PRO Engineering or others
· Good command of written and oral English
