Element Description
COMBIN7 is a three-dimensional pin (or revolute) joint which may be used to connect two or more parts of a model at a common point. Capabilities of this element include joint flexibility (or stiffness), friction, damping, and certain control features. An important feature of this element is a large deflection capability in which a local coordinate system is fixed to and moves with the joint.
